My name is Lisa Chung, I met Raed and his wife Dina in Gaza through social media and I am fundraising for their faily in Gaza. Below is their story:

My name is Raed Radwan. I am a nurse, a husband, and a father of four wonderful children: Lana (11 years old), Yamen (10 years old), Kareem (8 years old), Hammood (1.6 months old).

I worked as a nurse in Indonesian Hospital until we were displaced to Rafah then to Khan Younis. I am passionate and dedicated to my career as a nurse. I continue to volunteer with an organization to provide medical care to those who are also displaced in Khan Younis.

We are displaced from Beit Lahia, in Northern Gaza, leaving behind our home full of cherished memories. My children now sleep in a tent without protection from cold, heat, insects, and infections. Our lives are without basic necessities for life — no water, food, or cooking utensils.

My wife, Dina, who was an English teach at UNRWA school to 5th grade students, had her employment contract due to ongoing genocide. The school she loved to teach was completely destroyed by the occupation forces.

It is unbearable and heartbreaking to make a decision to raise funds to leave home. But, I am desperate and urgently ask for your help to raise our evacuation funds as there is truly no safe place in Gaza.

Our priority is to provide safety and future for my children. They deserve to fill their lives with dreams for the future instead of fear that fills every waking moment of their lives.

My goal is to evacuate safely with my family. The cost of evacuation is: – $5000 for evacuation for myself – $5000 for evacuation for my wife, Dina – $10000 for evacuation for my children ($2500 each) – We are also hoping to raise additional funds to be able to establish our life outside of Gaza for rent, clothes and toys for my children, education enrollment for my children as they have lost 7 months of education in critical period. Any remaining funds after evacuation will be used for my family to start our new life in safety.

I ask you to share and support my family’s campaign with your family, friends, and colleagues. I sincerely appreciate any amount of contribution as they all make a significant difference to alleviate our suffering.

My family created this GoFundMe with my wife’s GoFundMe account with Dina as the primary organizer for clarification.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support and standing with us in solidarity during this time.

Raed, Dina, Lana, Yamen, Kareem, and Hammood

Hello!

I’m sharing an update on behalf of the Radwans from Gaza. First of all, thank you for your kindness and generous contribution to Raed’s family. It truly is a sliver of light and hope these days.

Much has happened in July. Earlier this month, their son, Kareem, was hit by shrapnel. Thankfully, it wasn’t a life-threatening injury, and he is recovering well.

Since then, they miraculously avoided death. As Dina, Raed’s wife, held their children in her arms, bullets were fired over their heads. I can’t even begin to imagine what it would have been like had they been delayed with their evacuation by half an hour. They were sleeping on the streets, but all to Raed’s effort, they have found a location to place their tent and have settled in Al Zawaida.

Every dollar you share with the Radwans truly helps them stay alive and keeps them from going to the aid distribution centers, which is a death trap set up by the GHF. Please keep their family (Raed, Dina, Yamen, Lana, Kareem, and Hammood) in your mind and share their story.

With much gratitude,

Lisa from Atlanta, USA
